This was a wonderful stay for my family and I. The staff was friendly and helpful especially Mitch. He gave us the nicest welcome. It really helped especially since we were from out of town visiting a sick friend. He made us smile. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great location, close to the transportation museum and walkable to many restaurants and a Walmart. I was grateful they accommodated my early check in request and my room was clean and comfortable, except that the bathroom had no exhaust fan - is this a trend for hotels not to have one? Breakfast was good and my son loved watching the pancake machine, but they really need larger and more trash cans in the breakfast area. They were all overflowing with trash so I had to take my breakfast trash to my room and throw it there.

After driving 2hrs to our destination, we were told our room wasn’t ready. Sitting in the parking lot waiting with 2 small kids and 2 dogs was a real treat! Not sure why it took so long to clean our room since there was spit from the previous guest left on the mirror. The following morning when we went down for breakfast, there was nothing left. Even the waffle machine had already been removed! Other families came down after us and they also were left with nothing but a couple milks, yogurt, bagels and the juice machine. If breakfast is scheduled until 9:30, then EVERYTHING should still be available at 8:45! I don’t recommend anyone stay here and will not be staying again with my family.

Although this hotel was a little more expensive than others around, we booked for one night stay to go on the Polar express and we’re willing to pay the extra money because of an indoor pool. We figured that would keep our kids busy during our downtime. we called the day before check-in to make sure the pool Was working and in-service and were told yes everything was running fine. After check-in, we were informed that the pool is down for maintenance. Of course this is after we already paid. We told staff we would like a refund so we could find another hotel with an indoor pool and we were told that we could not get a refund and that there’s no manager on duty that the manager is off until Monday, which is two days from now. So we paid $200 for a room that we could have gotten the same thing for $60 three miles down the road. Horrible!

Really nice and clean hotel. Service was very friendly as well. No complaints at all about the rooms. The room even jd a clean smell to it where you could tell they are actually investing time into getting the rooms ready. My only complaint is online it says the indoor pool is heated but when we got there with our kids the gentleman at the counter said the pool was open but not heated. It was very cold. We toughed it out but the kids were ready to leave after about 15 min.

Our stay overall was nice and rooms were clean! However , one thing that had our morning start off rough was the staff serving breakfast during our stay particularly a lady that goes by “Chris” she was extremely rude and just not friendly towards any of us from start to finish. Even before opening the breakfast area she was yelling things about stuff noone had any clue as to what she was referring to, then later when we came down for breakfast she refused to refill the pancake machine etc . Just really rude for NO REASON! That must change or it’s going to cause for unhappy customers and all because of one staff member. Very unacceptable. The rest of the staff were great and friendly!

My Sorority had a weekend getaway with a luncheon in conference room. I decided to stay the whole weekend. The room was very clean with everything I need. The pool area was nice and clean. The fitness room had enough of equipment for me to workout. Great location with a seafood restaurant in walking distance across the street. The front desk clerk was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. The breakfast was fresh and hot. Special shout out to the young lady making sure the food was replenished and nice.

Booked for a long weekend while in town and was utterly disappointed. Normally we stay at the Hampton Inn but we tried something different this time. The only reason I gave it one star is because of the check in desk. They were great. The housekeeping staff just made the bed and took out the trash and dirty linens on the second day. They didn’t even change the sheets or vacuum. All of the usb plugs were broken. The pool was extremely cloudy. The breakfast tasted good but the “black” lady that was the coordinator, more like a bouncer, was severely rude to white people and most all of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. I even had to flag her down, off of her smoking outside, to come in to fix the pancake machine for a little girl and her mother. Both of whom were not white. She didn’t know I was standing behind her when she said to the other, non-white lady, “if people would keep their dirty white hands off of it, it would be messed up”. I was just trying to help the poor lady and her daughter out but never touched the stupid thing. I guess it’s ok to treat people with racism as long as you’re black. The bad part about it is how rude she treated others. My 9 year old even asked why she was being nice to the black kids and not him. I also had to keep an eye out for the numerous homeless people that frequent the rear patio, right outside the pool. I will never stay here again and I do not recommend anyone with light skin stay here either if you like the breakfast. Holiday Inn Express should investigate this. I will be writing corporate as well.

My favorite part about this hotel is Chris at breakfast! She is a joy and has a fantastic attitude with all guests! She is excellent helping children while keeping everything supplied. I have stayed 3 times and will stay again as long as Chris is there in the mornings! My wife is a Chris fan as well!

I wasn’t a guest but if I was to come back through I would definitely stay here. The older white lady with grey and blonde hair. I didn’t catch her name but if I I did I would definitely use it. She was so attentive and sweet. I APPRECIATE HER MOTHERLY INSTINCTS AND CARING MINDSET 10/10
