Across the Pond is so much more than a place to stay, it is a home-away-from-home, complete with cozy beds, delightful company and a sneak peek into a historical Salisbury estate! We couldn’t wait for homemade breakfast and lovely chats with Mary and Andy each morning. I’m gluten intolerant and was prepared to eat the snacks I brought from home, but they made me gluten-free pancakes from scratch! Mary and Andy were so conscious of giving us our space and privacy, but we grew to love them so much, we found ourselves seeking out ways to spend time with and learn from them. They gave us a tour of the home, which has been carefully renovated to preserve its rich history and architectural character, while also providing the comforts and luxuries of a modern home. We learned about the history of Salisbury and how the town has evolved since its founding in 1755! We came for a wedding but would happily return to Salisbury just to stay in our cherished Across the Pond Bed and Breakfast.

Absolutely charming property. Impeccable attention given to the guests. Everything is very well thought out, comforts within your bedroom, bathroom, breakfast selections. Wonderful room selections for quiet contemplation, reading, meeting friends & family. My sister & I felt well taken care of. This home is above all standards & I wish Andrew & Mary every success in their business. Much love to them both. Penny P. Moore/Saint George, Utah & Gigi Lage/Rapid City, South Dakota

Our hosts, Mary and Andrew, gave us an unbelievably warm welcome. The house is beautifully renovated, tastefully furnished, and thoughtfully decorated. You can tell they’ve paid attention to every detail. We stayed in the Matisse Suite, which was spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. We were a bit concerned about the nearby railroad tracks, but it turned out not to be an issue at all. We slept soundly through the night. Breakfast was absolutely scrumptious, and Mary and Andrew were so gracious in allowing us a late checkout so we could enjoy a walk through the historic district and admire the beautiful old homes. The location is perfect, within walking distance of many restaurants. I truly wish we could have stayed longer; maybe next time! Highly recommend this lovely bed and breakfast to the discerning traveler.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay here. The room was gorgeous and the whole house was so beautiful. The hosts were kind and made sure to check on our needs. I have allergies so they made sure I could have a full course during breakfast which I truly appreciated. They were lively and fun to talk with. They also had good recommendations for around town. We will definitely be staying here again!

A few weeks ago, Bob and I decided to stay somewhere different in our travels to Hilton Head, and after a quick Google Maps search, I discovered Across the Pond B&B. The inn is absolutely lovely, with warm and welcoming hosts, Mary and Andy, who made our stay truly special. Our hosts provided us with an excellent list of local restaurant recommendations, and we ended up choosing a wood-fired pizza place that was delicious. Our room at the B&B was very comfortable, offering a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was superb—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, and served by Andy in proper British form. Before we left town, Mary kindly suggested we visit an art exhibit at the Waterworks Visual Arts Center, which turned out to be a great experience with a number of Picasso paintings. Overall, Across the Pond B&B exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area and next time we will add an extra night.

We had a quick overnight stay at this beautifully maintained Bed and Breakfast . The Picot Room had a nice sitting area and the bed was very comfortable.. Mary was very warm and welcoming and provided us with a wonderful breakfast. All in all a wonderful, if short stay. Thank you, Mary, for everything.

Historic building turned into a wonderful bnb. Superb hosts who share their knowledge of the house and area. Chatty and friendly and incredibly accommodating. Super comfy rooms, located in a quiet suburb within a few minutes walk of all the restaurants, shops and bars. Of which there are a good few to explore. Idyllic get-away in this interesting little town. We look forward to coming back.

Beautiful, clean and welcoming home! Andy and Mary were wonderful and gracious hosts. We had a delicious dinner at a local steakhouse that they recommended, and an amazing breakfast made by the hosts the next morning. We also enjoyed great conversations with Andy and Mary. Great place to celebrate an Anniversary! Wish we could have stayed longer!
