What do you need to know
- The futon is the only bed in the room, and you will need to bring your own bedding
- As this is a yurt, there is no attached indoor bathroom, guests use an outdoor shower and a composting toilet
- There is no WiFi here, but there is cell service
- Cooking is accomplished on the fire, so prepare some foil dinners or other wood-fired dining options
- Well-behaved pets are invited to come along, at the cost of $25 per night, paid in cash on arrival

3 months agoThe Baby Yurt was so adorable! Ellen even had it already warmed up for me when I arrived so I was able to cozy right in! Everything was as described and I had all I needed to just unwind for the weekend.The surroundings were lovely and peaceful with special touches everywhere. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a little getaway!I hope to be back again soon!!

over 1 year agoMy first yurt! Thoughtfully designed and has the perfect little forest around it, complete with a bubbling fountain that sounds wonderful and relaxing. One of my favorite places I’ve stayed. Convenient to everything I needed, peaceful and serene environment, all the amenities were as described, and Ellen is a beautiful soul. So glad we stayed here. We will be back!

over 2 years agoPerfect place to stay for a weekend getaway or with a group of friends! The location of Ellens property is great. It's close enough to nearby towns to get anything you need but also far enough out to give you a sense of isolation. The property also has multiple fire pits with wood available to use and plenty of seating. If you have a dog, bring them, there are no busy roads nearby, tons of room for them to roam and Ellen dogs Murphy is extremely friendly. Lastly, I highly recommend checking out the small town of Gold Hill. It had local shops/pick your own flower farm and a cafe, which was the perfect way to start the day.
